During my HND Interactive Media (Web Design & Web Development) course at Edinburgh College we had to create several fictitious projects that could represent possible clients in the future.
One of them is Icinema, a fictional cinema company in Midlothian, which has five cinema clubs around this area. It is an interactive community where adult members, junior members and staff have different roles and permission to access the web. For instance, adults can buy tickets while juniors can only watch the trailers and share them. Staff members have access to the entire content and they are provided with an admin panel where they can manage all the content, films, tickets and more.
It was a requirement that the website must be accessible for all platforms including PC and mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones. Moreover, the site had to be eye-catching and appealing to the final user.
It contains form validation and error handling. User feedback is also included in the website’s functionality. It complies with current web standards for accessibility, usability, and coding.
